Ok it's late so this will be short. I joined the Harry Potter Knit and Crochet House Cup on Ravelry. And now I'm obsessed. I can't wait for the competition to get started. In other news I want my Whisper Cardigan to be done already.
Well I finally got the back of my cardigan started, just a few inches to go! It's at the point now where I can try it on as I go, so I can see where I want the back to end. Speaking of trying things on I'm mad at Old Navy. I was in the mall with Mike today and I saw they had jeans on sale, so I decided to go look since I always need them. Well they came out with this new style that's ment to curve around the ass, which I have plenty of. So I tried on my usual size, but in a regular not a short (I'm only 5'3") and it was way to long. So I asked the fitting room girl if they had it in short, and she told me Old Navy isn't makeing it in a short size. So short girls can't have jean to fit our asses? It's just wrong. And I still need new jeans, I was so fustrated after hearing there were no short sizes that I just left. So I just went online and found it on a short size but only one color, but that's fine by me. I don't blame the fitting room girl, the store didn't have and short sizes.

It's just to damn hot. I finally got one of the Pet Snuggles finished and I'm hoping I can get a ride to donate them this week. I'm working on a baby blanket right now, mostly because I want to so the border to see how hard it is. Plus I've got more blankets on the way, I've lost count of how many I agreed to do. At least it will get me to de-stash, Mike should be happy about that. I'm already thinking about the stuff I need to make for Christmas, ugh. I need to get things casted on by October to get everything finished, especially if the blankets keep going the way they are. I love doing it, but I'm at the point I want to do my own work.
Well I went kayaking over the weekend on the Saco River up in North Conway, NH and I am BURNT. My knees are hurting so bad, I think because of the burn there's fluid in my knees or something. My stomach and my chest are burnt too.
I've got a lot of knitting to do this week. I'm trying to get my Whisper Cardigan done before camping at the end of the month. I'm also trying to get Mike's Pillow finished cause I told him it wouldn't take me a month to make it. I have my socks on the needles that I really want to get finished. Plus I have one snuggle I'm working on and a baby blanket showed up today. Thankfully I'm finishing both of them so I'm not to worried about time for those. Well time to get knitting.
The Beginning and the Rant

Well here it is the official launch of my blog that I've been scheming about for quite a while.
I guess some background is in order first. Well my name is Candace, but I mostly go by Vertigo online. I'm a 23 year old female from a very small town in Massachusetts. I work at Stop and Shop as the CAO ordering specialist among other things. I'm also in school for Web Development. I'm a member of the knittinghelp.com forum's Oddball Pet Snuggles group, the Northeast Oddball Baby Blankets group, and I'm on the list for the next Oddball Big Blanket. I'm also the blogger for the Snuggles. You can also find me on Ravelry where I spend as much time as I do knitting.
I just finished my Shetland Shorty Shrug from knitty.com after fighting with the post office about where my yarn went. I got through almost the whole shrug with the 3 skeins of elann.com's Lustrado that I ordered, but when I got to the armholes I realized I needed one more skein. So of course I hopped online and ordered it. Well it was supposed to arrive on July 13th, the day before my birthday. It never showed up, so I went do to the post office to see what they could do. The woman at the desk was great, she called the guy who worked the route that day and he didn't remember it, and took my information for the postmaster. She told me if he didn't call me be Monday to call him. So of course he didn't call but because of work I didn't get a hold of him until Wednesday, he tells me he lost my info and takes it again and says I'll hear from him by the weekend. The next week I called twice and he wasn't in, and the second guy was a total jackass. He tried to tell me that they delivered it and someone must have stolen it from my mail box. Which is a load of crap, my mailbox is on my neighbor's porch, on a dirt side street, and is made of metal so if you open it, it makes noise. Plus someone's always home downstairs, and dogs would have gone off if anyone came near the house. Cause someone would want the 3 ounce box from elann.com, not the bike or the grill or one of the 200 other things on the porch. Dumbass. I e-mailed elann about it and they suggested another number to call but that was a dead end, so they gave me a credit for the whole order so I could get it again. This time it showed up no problem and I got it finished in one night. I'm in love with it and I've worn it twice already.
